CARIE OULASHIAN

CARIE OULASHIAN, M.ED., PRINCIPAL

Carie is thrilled to serve as the Principal of Richmond Street School after having spent three years as Assistant Principal in ESUSD.

She has been in the dynamic field of education for over 25 years teaching in K-12 schools as well as serving at Loyola Marymount University School of Education as an adjunct professor. Ms. Oulashian is passionate about designing systems, spaces, and learning which support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success of each and every child. She will lead the staff in continuing the great work for which RSS is well known: to Activate, Transform, Empower, and will deepen this work by removing barriers and ensuring that all students have an entry point for learning. This is especially important as students continue to heal from the effects of covid, both academically and social-emotionally.

Carie and her husband moved their family to El Segundo in 2008 for the outstanding schools. She loves serving her home community and the school district to which she entrusted her own three children.
